Our Trustees – Now and for the future

London Funders is a small team, and we couldn’t do what we do without our committed group of Trustees, who generously share their talents to steer our work and help us stay true to our mission of enabling funders from across sectors to be effective, so that Londoners can live better lives.

So from all of us at London Funders, and on behalf of the members and communities we serve, a massive thank you to: Andrew, David, Edith, Emma, Jahanara, John, Rohan, Sally, Sara, Sarah, Shabana, Ugo, Victoria and Yolande.

You can read more about our current Board in the “our people” section of this site.  Alongside these biogs, over the last four years we have completed and published a diversity audit of our Board.  We’re committed to being open about our journey to ensuring we are representative of the people we serve, and this year’s audit report is available here.  As part of the report we’ve highlighted where we can identify gaps in representation – both in terms of the diversity of our membership, and the diversity of our communities. You can see this years audit here.

At this year’s AGM (8 December) we will be sadly saying goodbye to one of our long-serving Trustees  – Jahanara Rajkoomar from Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing. We’ve benefited hugely from her expertise, ideas and support over the last three years, and thank her for her service. We also have three trustees who have reached the end of their second term and are up for re-election: David Farnsworth (Chair) from the City Bridge Trust, Sally Dickinson (Vice-chair) from The Berkeley Foundation and Andrew Matheson from the London Borough of Southwark. This means that there are up to four seats on our Board that we’ll be seeking to fill at the AGM.

If you’re interested in becoming a Trustee we can arrange a call with existing members of the Board, we can invite you to observe one of our Board meetings (the next one is on 2 November), or send you any extra information that would be helpful – just get in touch with Grace. More information about the role is in our summary sheet here.

Our Trustees are elected by our members at the AGM, so if you do wish to stand you just need to get a Member to nominate you using this form, and return it to us, along with a biography (no more than 300 words), before 5pm on Wednesday 2 December 2020.  We will then hold an election as part of the AGM on 8 December 2020 to appoint new Trustees to the Board.
