About the role
Are you motivated by helping to maximise the impact of philanthropic giving? Are you interested in rewarding work with a variety of different funder clients? Join our team, exploring how charities, funders and philanthropists can improve how they help people and the planet. You’ll be part of a fun, values-driven team with wide specialisms and expertise, who combine innovative consultancy with research and thought leadership.
NPC is the think tank and consultancy for the UK charity sector. We work to increase the positive impact of the sector, to improve people’s lives, make communities stronger and the planet healthier. We help organisations improve what they do, we influence policy and sector behaviour, and we support innovation in the sector. By working across charities, funders and government, we have a unique perspective and influence, while our consultancy department works with some of the leading organisations advancing great practice. As a hub for ideas, questions and debate, we have a lively work environment, and a supportive community of colleagues and collaborators.
Our work is highly regarded in the sector, and we work with a range of clients including philanthropists, grant-making trusts and foundations, corporates and charities. This is an exciting opportunity if you have a passion for effective grant making and are keen to help funders improve both the way they give and the ultimate impact of their gifts. Our recent effective philanthropy clients have ranged from large and established charitable foundations, to individuals and families, and some corporate clients.
We are looking for someone who is interested in helping philanthropists and funders maximise the impact of their giving. As a senior consultant you’ll work on consultancy work with a variety of clients, as well as contributing to NPC’s wider thinking and influencing work. Our consultancy work involves working with organisations to examine what they want to achieve, the best routes to get there and how best to evaluate and learn. NPC works across the UK voluntary sector, so you will get to work on a wide variety of topic areas and organisations, on both large and small projects.
