The breadth of EFN’s work has expanded significantly over the past 3-years and the team has grown to support that. This is a new role which focuses on our existing strategic goal to grow environmental philanthropy whilst supporting the wider provision of services to our membership.
Working closely with EFN’s Executive Director (ED), you will lead on growing the amount of funding flowing to environmental causes from UK funders (trusts, foundations, wealthy individuals and lottery funds) by connecting and engaging with funders who are not yet supporting environmental causes at scale, and inspiring and supporting them to start giving or to give more.
Reporting directly to the ED, you will form a key part of the Leadership team, and deputise for the ED from time to time, both on team leadership and external engagement. Whilst our current strategy development process might result in some changes to the staff structure, there is an expectation that this role will line manage a small team of 3-4 individuals.
Applicants should have at least five years’ experience working in fundraising or a related industry, experience managing relationships with individual donors or high net worth clients, and a strong commitment to environmental issues and to themes that intersect with them, such as human rights, social justice and poverty alleviation.
To apply ENF would like you to answer four questions about you, your experience and how you’d think about, and/or tackle tasks and scenarios that this role may face. You should aim to write no more than around 2-3 paragraphs for each question. Please then email your CV to us. (Please note: you do not need to send over a covering letter).
