About the role
Job Purpose - To help the Berkeley Foundation to achieve its goals for young people and communities, by driving Berkeley staff engagement with the Foundation and its charity partners.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Develop and deliver projects, campaigns and initiatives to engage Berkeley staff in the Foundation’s work, through fundraising, volunteering, payroll giving and other forms of support;
- Working with the wider Foundation team, develop regular, engaging communications materials for Berkeley staff about the Foundation’s work;
- Maintain up-to-date and reliable records of levels of staff engagement with the Foundation, hours volunteered and funds raised;
- Provide regular reports on areas of responsibility for Trustee and Finance, Audit and Risk Committee Meetings;
- Act as the main point of contact for volunteer Foundation Champions across the business, meeting them regularly to support them in their roles and ensuring they are properly recognised for their work;
- Organise quarterly Foundation Champions meetings;
- Act as the main point of contact for the Foundation’s 20 local Community Partner charities, supporting these organisations to maximise their relationships with Berkeley Group operating businesses;
- Maintain up to date records about Community Partner charities using the Foundation’s paper and electronic filing systems and SharePoint database;
- Organise and deliver the Foundation’s annual staff awards event;
- Undertake any other duties appropriate for the role that may be required.
Technical Competencies & Person Specification:
- Experience working in, or engaging with, the charity, community or voluntary sector;
- Experience developing and delivering fundraising events and/or volunteer programmes;
- Creative and resourceful: able to show initiative, solve problems, and identify areas for improvement;
- Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of different audiences, both verbally and in writing;
- Strong project management skills;
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines;
- Good IT skills, particularly using Microsoft Office;
- Good numeracy skills;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Able to work effectively within a small team.
