About the role
This is a unique opportunity for someone deeply committed to fighting poverty in London. We're not necessarily looking for a seasoned funder – instead we want someone with a deep understanding of civil society and a proven commitment to empowering those with lived experiences of poverty.
You’ll need to share our values, and bring a leadership style that is collaborative, empathetic, and ego-free, enabling you to inspire and support a talented, experienced team.
As an independent foundation, Trust for London is unafraid to tackle the toughest issues and break new ground. This role gives you the chance to shape the city’s future by making a real impact on the lives of low-income Londoners.
The Director of Grants – Social Justice, is a key member of the Senior Management Team. They manage a small team of staff and report directly to the Chief Executive. They are jointly responsible, alongside the Director of Grants – Economic Justice, for the management of the Trust’s funding policies, the development of its funding strategy, and the delivery of our grant programmes. The Directors are expected to work closely together. As part of the SMT, the Director is a custodian of the Trust’s vision, mission and core values, and of the Trust’s identity, corporate reputation and brand.
