About the role
Who we are looking for We are looking for six people with expertise in the following areas:
- Equity, diversity and inclusion – supporting our commitment to improving our own diversity as well as best practice in the delivery of grants, research and evaluation
- Ethical research and trauma informed practice – our work in health, complex needs and with families requires greater consideration in the design and application of research, monitoring and evaluation and we want to be exemplary in this regard
- AI and technology – we recognise both the challenges and value of AI in research and grant making, and want to ensure that we consider the implications and opportunities for our work including risk management
- Evaluation expertise – the world of evaluation is changing and the requirements for gold standard evidence is growing – we need both challenge and support in developing our methods
- Systems thinking and design – the complexity of our work requires greater sophistication and we want to support clients to better mobilise recommendations and programmes
- Philanthropy and grantmaking – we are leading new ways of grantmaking and developing new approaches to building the capacity and resilience of organisations we want to build this leadership and expertise.
We are looking for people who can spare at least 4-5 days a year attending virtual or in person sessions, acting as a sounding board and advisor on their area of specialism. There may be other opportunities to collaborate on work so these roles might suit people who are freelance or working independently, or others wishing to build their skills, partnerships and networks.
We have in person all company get togethers at least twice a year, normally in York and other opportunities to bring teams together through internal training, learning and insight sessions.
