About the role
BBC Children in Need has an exciting opportunity for several Advisory Committee members, Chairs and Vice-Chairs in London, the South East and South West
Advisory Committees advise the Trustees of BBC Children in Need on grant awards in London, South East, South West, Central, North, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The Committees consist of a Chair, Vice-Chair and up to 12 Committee Members in each region or nation.
This recruitment applies to 3 different regions, please use the attached Candidate pack depending on which region you are applying for - you do not need to apply through the BBC application questionnaire:
- London - Advisory Committee members, a Vice-Chair and a Chair
- South East - Advisory Committee members and a Vice-Chair
- South West - Advisory Committee members, Vice Chair and Chair
Role Responsibility
Each Advisory Committee member is part of a small team, who has knowledge of and / or is based in those areas and collectively brings a range of skills and knowledge and experience of:
- Working with children and young people
- The voluntary sector
- Disability
- Social services
- Equal opportunities
- Business planning and finance
- The rights of the child
- Lived experience of some of the challenges we seek to address
