Born and raised in Northern Ireland, he has lived in London since first attending King’s College in 1978, after which he has spent his working life in the voluntary or public sector, including running charities and a 20-year stint at City Bridge Foundation. He is also a trustee of a small charity in Westminster and, as such, spends most of his spare time either doing funding applications or monitoring reports! Whilst this is quite time consuming it gives a unique and valuable perspective from both sides of the funding fence. Between 1990-2010 Ciaran was also a part-time football scout/analyst - working for the legendary Brian Clough at Nottingham Forest and in the latter days for Martin O’Neil at Aston Villa.
Ciaran’s hidden London gem is: seeing the annual springtime return of the Canadian Geese to raise their young and enjoy our lovely summers on the Thames near his home.
