EMERGENCY HELP NEEDED!
Want to help get financial aid to people caught up in a major civil emergency with speed and compassion? We are the London Emergencies Trust, a pop-up disaster-response charity that ‘goes live’ when a major emergency hits the capital. In between times we ‘power down’ and await the next call for help. Now we are on the look-out for new trustees to join our Board.
In 2017 we helped people who were hospitalised and bereaved in the terror attacks at Westminster, London Bridge/Borough Market, Finsbury Park Mosque and Parsons Green tube station. We also helped injured people and bereaved family members at Grenfell Tower. In 2019 and 2020 we helped those affected by the Fishmongers’ Hall and Streatham terror attacks.
We're looking for people who can bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment, and who will broaden our diversity of thinking. In return, we'll give you any advice or training you need to take on the role, so that you can help us to make a real difference to the lives of people caught up in major emergencies in London.
