The Senior Grant Making Managers play a key role in maximizing the impact of our funding. You will be a member of the Regional Leadership Team, developing our regional strategic direction and ensuring excellent management and oversight of day-to-day grant making and learning. You will be a key representative of the National Lottery Community Fund in the region.
Our London, south-east and eastern region spans a diverse and complex geography, taking in coastal shores, the rural fenlands, urban cities and beyond. It’s a region that has 146 local authorities and a complexity of deprivation in seemingly wealthy areas.
You will support the awarding of over £100 million in grants per annum within the London, South East and East region alongside being jointly responsible for a portfolio of approximately £200m grants in management. You will support the leadership and management of 50+ remotely based mobile team members in the region, with direct leadership of our South East and East teams (approximately 30 members) and line management of a team of six Funding Managers.
You will be a key member of the England Team, maintaining strong relationships with colleagues across the regional and partnerships teams and with other funding colleagues from our strategic and Third party programmes.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference through our funding, with a deep understanding of the communities we serve. You will have experience of building and leading teams and driving a culture of inclusion with an ability to coach, inspire, and empower people. Your ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with a diverse range of senior level internal and external stakeholders will be second to none, you will have experience in creating connections and facilitating diverse stakeholder networks and you will be a confident communicator, comfortable in all environments. You will demonstrate an ability to work in an agile way, ensuring we are flexible and continue to improve in line with feedback and insights from customers and frontline staff.
