About the role
John Lyon’s Charity is delighted to recruit for its first Research, Evaluation and Learning Manager. This is an exciting time to join the Charity as it embarks on its new strategy which has a commitment to research, evaluation and learning. As well as supporting the Charity’s grantmaking, the role will also further the Charity’s position as a thought leader across the grant making sector and influence local and national government agendas.
Fundamental to this role is to support the Charity in ensuring its grant making remains high quality, fit for purpose and assist our grantees in making informed, evidence-led decisions. It is expected that the role will be wide-ranging with the potential for the post-holder to shape it as it evolves. The successful candidate should have previous experience in a similar role with knowledge of a range of both qualitative and quantitative research methods. In addition, experience of working across numerous stakeholders is essential whilst championing a culture of learning. Experience of working in the charity sector is not essential, however, the successful candidate should be naturally inquisitive, resolute and driven to meet the aspirations of the Charity.
We welcome applications from under-represented groups which reflect the diversity of the Charity’s Beneficial Area and young people we seek to support. This includes Black, Asian, Mixed Race & other ethnically diverse individuals, people with disabilities, and members of LGBTQ+ communities.
