About the role
Our mission is to ensure that people and organisations have the knowledge, access and power they need to drive positive change in the places they choose and on the issues that affect them. We work with partners in philanthropy, local government and business, who want to connect, collaborate and reimagine solutions to ensure people can thrive in their communities.
In our Consultancy Partnership, we offer participatory, inclusive approaches to research issues, evaluate services, and co-design services that support organisations to learn, develop, challenge power structures, and drive equitable change.
In our Social Innovation Lab, we co-design, support and host funds and grassroots initiatives with local communities and people with lived experience of social issues, providing them with possibilities and opportunities to lead and accelerate their own social change.
As such, this ‘Lead Consultant- REL’ role will join our diverse team that makes up our Consultancy Partnership. Our team brings together technical and community specialists with a shared commitment to inclusive social change. Our approach is grounded in valuing lived experience and promoting participatory approaches.
We are seeking a Lead Consultant in Research, Evaluation and Learning - and are interested in hearing from both REL generalists or from specialists in one of the above areas R, E or L).
You will offer leadership to our team in your technical area, offering expertise, quality assurance, thought leadership and mentoring/upskilling to our team of consultants. You will be comfortable providing technical oversight to a large portfolio of assignments, with an understanding of what it takes to work at all levels from delivering frontline participatory research, to multi-year large-scale impact evaluations.
You will oversee and help to deliver projects for our clients, assessing where complex projects might need greater inputs or where background supervision and quality assurance will suffice. You will mentor and nurture the skills and experience of individuals across our team, suggesting opportunities for growth and development. You will also contribute to business development – prospecting new clients through networking, promoting TSIP’s work through speaking opportunities and leading on the development and writing of response to tenders.
