Increase our access to High-Value Philanthropy (Request for Proposals) - Do it Now Now

Budget: £5 - 8K excl. VAT (this is inclusive of any expenses that might be incurred during the development/delivery of this project).

Timeframe: to be delivered by the end of July 2023 as we would like to be positioned to pilot this in Q4 of this year. The contracting decision to be made by end of April/early May

Deadline: Midnight 16 April 2023:

About the role

Do it Now Now would like to engage with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI), particularly those of Afro-Caribbean descent, to increase our impact with the Black community through valuable products or offers. From the research by GiveBLACK, we know that there is a gap in the knowledge and understanding of what Black HNWIs are funding and to what extent. The report also tells us that Black-led organisations like Do it Now Now, don’t necessarily know the best routes and methods to approach Black HNWIs.

Do it Now Now currently doesn’t have an active HNWI donor practice so this work will enable us to make our first steps into creating our strategy and activities in this area.

How to respond to the brief

We’ve emailed this brief to three organisations/individuals and are promoting it through our social media channels.

If you’re interested in engaging with this brief, please email Debby Mulling responding to the following points (no more than 600 words) by midnight 16 April 2023:

  • Why you think you would be great for this project.

  • Demonstrate relevant experience you have by referencing two previous pieces of work.

  • A proposal outline explaining what you are going to do and how you are going to address this project (your approach and method).

  • A budget with separate lines for key deliverables.

  • Your timeline for this work.

In the first instance, we’d like to arrange a chat with 3 or 4 individuals/organisations in the second half of April. From there we might ask 2 or 3 to write a more detailed proposal including the resources/involvement you will need from our team. This will allow us to be in a good position to make a decision by the end of April/early May.

If you have any questions about this brief, how to respond, or the process, please email Debby Mulling.
