About the role
Trust for London are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Grants Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone with a keen interest in tackling the root causes of poverty and inequality in the capital, and a commitment to enabling people with first-hand experience of these issues to be at the forefront of campaigns for change.
In addition to grants assessments and management, Grants Managers are expected to undertake proactive work in the programme areas identified as priorities for the Trust. We are particularly keen to strengthen our team’s knowledge of the disability sector as we are investing substantially in strengthening Deaf and Disabled People’s organisations in London, so experience of working in this sector would be an advantage.
You will need at least three years’ experience of project management at a senior level in the voluntary and community sector, preferably in London. You will also need to have good analytical and communication skills and an understanding of relevant social policy issues. You will be joining a small team so readiness to share knowledge and to develop your own capabilities across the Trust’s varied programme areas will help you to succeed in the role. Experience of grant-making is not essential.
How to apply
We have a strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and would welcome applications from people with first-hand experience of poverty and inequality and from people who are under-represented in the grant-making sector.
