About the role
You will work collaboratively with a colleague Grants Manager (Part-time) and, together, will l take day-to-day responsibility for managing all aspects of our programme from award-making; overseeing the monitoring and evaluation of a portfolio of grants; through to assessing need and planning and consulting on future programmes.
Your work will include seeking added value by convening and connecting organisations we fund, focussing on learning and making the connection with policy development. We are committed to working collaboratively with grantees, London boroughs and other funders to deliver leading practice and you will also lead on improving reporting systems and relationships with London boroughs.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the development of the voluntary and community sector and our specific areas of focus. You will have good experience of grant making – or transferable skills gained from a sector relevant to one of our grant making areas.
The successful candidate will be someone who can manage a varied workload, working at pace and enjoys working independently and collaboratively within small teams. You will have great communication and networking skills and strong management-information and analytical skills, with experience of and confidence in using database management and Windows-based office systems. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a small staff team.
