About the role
The Grants and Investment Manager is a key role with strategic and operational responsibilities for this £2.5m investment. The postholder’s main responsibility will be to maintain an overview of all investment in the sector, within the Council and externally, through grants, subsidy and commissioning. Working within a very live and dynamic environment the postholder will be managing a demanding, ongoing programme, dealing with incoming queries and requests for information, as well as managing the grants team (including line management) and supporting strategic development. The post will also take a lead in the monitoring of grants to our Advice partners and the management of the Healthwatch partnership for Hackney.
You will need to draw on excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills including the ability to manage and manipulate systems using large volumes of data and information. Collaboration and partnership working will be key so you will also need to build a high level of professional credibility, in order to influence, develop and manage relationships at all levels across the Council and partner organisations. You will need to be flexible and adaptable and able to work on a number of different areas of work at any one time. The ability to manage a large, complex budget in a flexible and responsive way as well as making strategic and operational decisions is essential.
