About the role
Main duties and responsibilities:
Fundraising administration
- To carry out day-to-day tasks such as opening post, processing cheques and banking
- Maintain and update our donor database Donorfy to ensure records are kept accurate and up to date
- Taking ownership of gift processing and accurately importing donations to our database from a range of platforms
- Agreeing administrative processes for different areas of fundraising, liaising with the Individual Giving and Legacy Manager, Fundraising Campaigns Manager and Fundraising Development Manager and identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes where possible
- To have a sound understanding of, and adhere to, Gift Aid principles in terms of record keeping, securing, scanning, submitting and storing declarations
- To administer Regular Givers and ensure all information held on them is up to date
- Working with the Individual Giving and Legacy Manager to maintain legacy records, liaising with those who wish to leave a gift in their will, as well as family members, solicitors and executors
- To support the Charity Director and Fundraising Team with ad hoc requests for data on finances, donors and charity services
Supporter care
- Act as first point of contact for internal and external queries, answering phone calls, emails and letters and providing information and thank you communications / acknowledgements
- Provide administrative support and exceptional supporter care to Community Fundraisers including managing platforms such as JustGiving
Team support
- Collate data and report back on key performance metrics across the team
- Provide technical support where needed - for example, building emails through MailChimp and testing donation platforms in the lead up to the Christmas Appeal
- To carry out research to support the team - for example, on Trust Fundraising
- To oversee the recruitment and training of volunteers and /or temporary workers, particularly in anticipation of our busy Christmas Appeal period
