About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic oversight of finances, working closely with the Finance and Operations Manager and the Treasurer
- Oversight, development and management of budgets in collaboration with the CEO.
- Oversight of management accounts, statutory annual accounts
- Reconciliations, payments and liaison with our bankers
- Preparation of the annual report (excluding statutory accounts)
- Managing (with volunteers) receipt of unclaimed client account donations
- Managing (with volunteers) receipt and enforcement of pro bono costs orders and answering queries
- Oversight of HR processes and people management
- Staff and volunteer recruitment
- Review and implementation of policy framework (including HR and finances)
- Secretariat for all Board Committees and Board meetings
- Attendance at Governance, Risk and Audit Committee
- Management of HR, Nominations and Remuneration Committee
- Oversight of premises operations
- IT management
- Database management
- Data protection lead
- Actively contributing to the Foundation’s wider strategy as part of the senior management team
