Start date:          March 2022

Salary:                 £34,000-38,000 p.a. (depending on experience)

Location:             Young Westminster Foundation’s Office in Soho and Westminster’s Youth Hubs with opportunity for flexible and remote working

About the five Youth Hubs:

The Westminster Youth Hubs are fun, informal and safe youth club spaces for young people to connect with their friends, community and youth workers. The Youth Hubs deliver a wide range of programmes where members can socialise and learn new skills, helping them develop positive identities and unlock potential. The five Youth Hubs serve young people in specific localities across the borough and shape the overall development of youth services in Westminster as part of a model that champions innovation and collaboration.

About Young Westminster Foundation

YWF is an infrastructure organisation based in the City of Westminster. Since 2017, we have been supporting a membership of local youth clubs and organisations through grants, training and networking opportunities. Forging partnerships with businesses, public sector partners, individuals and major funders, our work helps strengthen services for all young people in the borough.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate for this role will develop relationships with each Youth hub and work collaboratively to support and assist them in their data collection and analysis. Your expertise will enable them to improve how Youth Hubs utilise their data for delivery, marketing and business planning purposes, thus strengthening their sustainability.

In addition, you will work closely with YWF’s Digital and Engagement Manager to help Hubs tell stories with their data about their work, their young people and local community. You will also work alongside YWF’s Grants and Evaluation Manager to build YWF’s internal evaluation knowledge and capacity to expand YWF’s grants and evaluation function. You will support YWF’s fundraising by analysing and utilising Westminster specific data sets for funding bids.

You will foster and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders (including YWF’s funders) and respond to requests for data and information in an accurate and prompt manner.

What we are looking for:

You will have experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, reporting and visualisation and are confident in using data systems, MS Excel and CRM. You have knowledge of the GDPR and managing sensitive and confidential data. You will have been involved in and ideally led an evaluation of an organisation. You will be practical, proactive, and well-organised as well as committed to working in an inclusive and collaborative way. You will be confident to work independently and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Above all you have a passion for supporting youth organisations and using your excellent people skills to engage with youth practitioners and young people alike.

If the above sound like you, we’d like to hear from you.

YWF offers an attractive package of benefits to our staff that includes:

  • Competitive pay package and pension scheme
  • Annual leave – 28 days plus Christmas closure
  • Enhanced maternity pay
  • Sabbatical scheme
  • Flexible working
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Learning and development opportunities

Diversity and inclusion:

YWF is committed to equality and diversity among our workforce and to eliminating discrimination. We aim to create a workforce that is as diverse and welcoming as the borough of Westminster itself; promoting positivity and instilling a can-do attitude that is inclusive in design and delivery of services. We encourage candidates that can support the development and inclusivity of Westminster’s communities.
