About the role
The role’s key focus will be to build the OneRichmond network and enable the acceleration of this initiative by raising funds and building partnerships with a variety of partners in the borough. OneRichmond’s vision is to raise and pool donations from a variety of donors, identify unmet need and support grassroots community initiatives to address them. You will build new opportunities to collaborate, volunteer and support borough wide initiatives.
This role will build on the strategic work of the founding funders by promoting and embedding place-based giving into the Richmond context. You will be the key champion and promoter of place-based principles amongst potential funders and partners to raise funds, identify unmet need and engage the community.
The role will include quickly expanding the network and steering group membership by developing strategic relationships with a broad range of partners including local businesses, business networks, community groups, the local authority and other funders.
Key Responsibilities
- Build partnerships with local, regional and national stakeholders to raise funds and develop delivery partnerships.
- Operationalise mission and vision, including the exploration of community participation & strategic partnerships.
- Develop and implement a fundraising plan to leverage funds including targeting corporates and high net worth individuals (HNWIs).
- Recruit and provide strategic and practical guidance to the community coordinator.
- Build relationships and raise the profile of OneRichmond amongst community groups and networks.
- Embed place-based giving principles within the Richmond context.
- Maintain connection with the London Giving community.
