Content Manager - St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity

Salary:                   £41,000 per annum

Contract:              Fixed-term, six months

About the role 

Responsible for proposing the Charity's content strategy and manage its execution. You will work with senior leadership, Communications team colleagues and other teams, and external contacts to manage the creation and production of St Martin's Charity's online and offline content. You will be responsible for ensuring content is accurate, engaging and facilitates St Martin's Charity to achieve its objectives.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning

  • Propose the organisation's content strategy and manage its execution working with senior leadership, Communications team colleagues to ensure all departments' needs are fulfilled.
  • Propose St Martin's Charity annual Content Plan and manage its execution across the organisation, creating a calendar of engaging and compelling material development for stakeholder audiences.
  • Oversee budget lines relation to key areas of responsibility, reporting to the budget holder.

Content Creation

  • Manage the creation of St Martin's Charity's brand content/assets, for example, video, leaflets, animations, webpages and reports. This will include personally writing content to a standard suitable for external publication.
  • Manage St Martin's Charity's creative suppliers, maintaining collaborative, productive relationships, ensuring the development of clear briefs, value for money, compliance and commitment to St Martin's Charity's values.
  • Ensure that all content is maximised across platforms and formats and to ensure consistency, accuracy and impact.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Comms team to support the creation of social media content and email marketing/CRM, ensuring this feeds directly into the overarching Marketing and Communications Strategy.
  • Other duties within communications as required.

Asset Management

  • Ensure that all communications deliver a consistent and appropriate brand positioning, narrative and tone of voice.
  • Be a guardian for St Martin's Charity's tone of voice and lead on its guidelines, roll out and embedding.
  • Be a key day-to-day contact point for St Martin's Charity's content sign-off processes with internal stakeholders.
  • Work with the Vicar's Relief Fund, Impact and Frontline Network teams to ensure insight and our knowledge of solutions to homelessness underpin and validate our content creation.
