About the role
- To be responsible to the Board of Trustees and through this our employees for the strategic leadership and operational management of the charity, ensuring that Walton Charity continues to thrive in supporting local people in Elmbridge to tackle issues of poverty and inequality, homelessness and isolation.
- Ensure that the charity operates in compliance with charity and company law, complying with the housing and fundraising regulators as well as wider HSE and other regulating bodies and legal requirements.
- As the leader of the delivery of the 5-year strategy position and shape the direction of activity to enable the achievement of the goals contained within, ensuring financial viability is maintained.
- To work closely with the Board and particularly the chair and the committee chairs to ensure sound organisational governance.
- To always act in the best interest of the charity and in accordance with its visions and values and guide the evolution of the charity, being a role model for a collaborative culture within the charity and the local community that we serve.
- To lead and inspire an organisational culture that enables all colleagues to achieve.
- Ensure that the charity operates in accordance with the reputation of the charity as one of integrity, effectiveness and resilience playing a full part in developing partnerships to enhance the lives of local people.
