Camden Highline is a charity working to transform disused railway infrastructure between Camden and King Cross into a linear garden park. Camden Highline will be a local green space for 20,000 people and represents a departure from the old, and the beginning of an innovative approach to city design that prioritises the environment, public health and quality neighbourhoods.
This event invited members to a round table session with the Camden Highline team. We heard about their journey so far and saw a preview of the final designs from James Corner Field Operations. It was also an opportunity to discuss some of the unique challenges that come with building a new park as a charity, including the fundraising appeal.
