Taking place in March in-person and online, our next meeting’s focus question will be: As a sector, how can we foster a welcoming and inclusive working culture to attract and retain diverse staff?
According to ACEVO’s Home Truth’s report, compared to the private sector, the charity sector has struggled to recruit and retain diverse staff. The challenge to address is whether our sector has cultivated a working culture that is welcoming and inclusive to attract diverse staff and if not, what can we do to change that?
This network is open to funders who are committed to building a fairer, stronger, and more equitable London through enabling a better and more inclusive approach to funding. This network is for funder who want to do things differently and are keen to learn from their peers, share data and knowledge from an equity and justice perspective.
Finally, the network is a safe space for members to challenge the status quo by respectfully engaging in meaningful discussions with the understanding that this will lead to better decision-making and action.
We'll hear from London Funders members: John Ellerman Foundation and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea about their insights around fostering welcoming and inclusive working cultures.
Please register for the meeting to join us either in-person or online as we discuss this in greater depth, and to connect with fellow London Funders members interested in this work.
Please note, this event is open exclusively to London Funders members. If you have any questions about our networks or would like to become a member, please email our Membership Manager Nasyah on nasyah.bandoh@londonfunders.org.uk."
