Chaired by Nezahat Cihan, CEO at London Funders member, London Legal Support Trust, the next London Funders Advice Network will meet in person on Thursday 9th May.
We'll be exploring how funders and delivery organisations are working to support London’s communities with money advice.
We’re pleased to be joined by the Money and Pensions Service who’ll give an update about their 2020-2030 UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing and the trends they are seeing in England and London as they approach the halfway point.
Fellow London Funders member – the Berkeley Foundation – will also provide us with an overview of their current partnerships and strategic priorities to address homelessness and financial hardship. They’ll be joined by their partner – MyBnk – who will speak about their programme in London and the impact this has had on young people, including care leavers and SEND students.
We’ll also hear from Money A+E – a London-based social enterprise who provide money advice and education to disadvantaged groups, diverse ethnic communities and young people. They’ll share their insights around transforming lives through money advice and education, particularly how they work with marginalised communities to tailor support to the diverse needs of London’s communities.
Finally, London Funders will share more about some Advice Mapping work being undertaken which is exploring the funding of social welfare advice for Londoners. We'll share some of the emerging findings from our analysis so far and would love to hear your ideas for the next stage of the project.
