How can funders support initiatives aimed at improving London’s air quality and health outcomes for its residents?
Happening on Tuesday 31 October on Zoom, our next Healthy London Network meeting will explore the question above. We’re delighted to be joined by London Funders member The Social Innovation Partnership and Imperial College London to hear more about the Breathe London Community Programme (BLCP).
The BLCP is an exciting three year programme which aims to provide sixty fully funded Breathe London Nodes to community groups and organisations across London. The programme is run by The Environmental Research Group at Imperial College London, and is supported by The Social Innovation Partnership, with funding provided by Bloomberg Philanthropies.
Join the BLCP team to hear about building the network - including capacity and legacy building with their 60 community organisations - and partnership working with funders and infrastructure organisations. We will also be joined by one of the community groups themselves to delve deeper into community engagement and democratising air pollution knowledge within their community. Sign up for the meeting here.
There will be time for questions after the presentation, and an opportunity for some horizon scanning and peer troubleshooting at the end of the meeting. Feel free to email any questions on this topic in advance to nasyah.bandoh@londonfunders.org.uk.
The Network is open to any London Funders member interested in ‘health issues’ including social care, physical health, and mental & emotional health and wellbeing.
Please note, this event is open exclusively to London Funders members. If you would like to become a member, or are a member interested in presenting at this meeting or future ones, please email our Membership Manager, Nasyah, on nasyah.bandoh@londonfunders.org.uk.
