Chaired by Gemma Juma, CEO of the Petchey Foundation, the Children and Young People (CYP) Network will meet in December to explore the impact of mentoring on young Londoners and how funders can add value to this area of work.
This month we're delighted to be joined by fellow London Funders member - the GLA – who will give us an update about the ‘New Deal for Young People’, the impact of the GLA’s mentoring activities and their work to build the sector’s capacity.
We’ll also hear from South London-based youth organisation – Reaching Higher – who will share information about their mission, their work and their experience of the impact of mentoring on young people’s well-being and self-confidence, particularly for those who are most marginalised.
Finally, Young Hammersmith and Fulham Foundation will give us an insight into what they have learned from designing and delivering their collaborative mentoring programme: Ready, Steady, CONNECT!.
There will also be opportunities to network, horizon scan and exchange information – so please come ready to share!
Please note that: due to capacity, sign ups are currently limited to one individual per member organisation. If you would like to attend with a colleague, please email our Membership Manager on nasyah.bandoh@londonfunders.org.uk.
You can register for the meeting here.
The Network is open to any London Funders member interested in or funding work related to children and young people.
Please note, this event is open exclusively to London Funders members. If you would like to become a member, or are a member interested in presenting at this meeting or future ones, please email our Membership Manager, Nasyah, on nasyah.bandoh@londonfunders.org.uk.
