Malene joined the team in April 2021 having previously led Unlock Democracy's largest grant-funded programme, the Brexit Civil Society Alliance - a UK-wide alliance of 80 charities voluntary, campaigning groups, and charitable organisations working together to respond to Brexit's impact on the charity sector. Prior to this, Malene worked and volunteered for a number of London-based organisations, focusing on issues from migrants rights' to democratic participation.
