*this event will be of particular interest for our trust and foundation members*
Trust for London and London Funders are pleased to invite you to a presentation by Noorain Khan, Programme Officer in the Office of the President of the Ford Foundation on Monday 19th of November, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Graeae Theatre Company, Bradbury Studios, 138 Kingsland Road, London E2 8DY.
The Ford Foundation is a global leader of social change philanthropy investing over half a billion dollars annually in disrupting inequality.  Like many other philanthropic organisations supporting social justice and equality movements, the Foundation has come to realise that for too long disabled people have been left out of their conversations and programmes. They have started an exciting process of questioning institutional privilege, of listening to disability rights activists and of ransforming the programmes and inner workings of the Foundation itself by placing disability rights at the centre of their work for social justice.
Noorain, who has been responsible for this journey to mainstream disability across the Foundation’s programmes and institutional processes will share the learning to date.
This session will be of special interest to trusts and foundations interested in mainstreaming diversity, equity and inclusion in your grant giving practices and within your organisation.
