05 Mar 2019
12pm—2pm
314-320 Grays Inn Road, London, WC1X 8D
London Funders hosted a lunch and learn for members on funding cultural activities. Régis Cochefert (Director, Grants and Programmes, Paul Hamlyn Foundation) and Holly Donagh (Partnerships Director, A New Direction) shared their perspectives as funders working in this space.
This meeting covered:
·         What is the ‘state of culture’ in London – including ‘hot & cold’ spots.
·         What is the ‘cultural ecology’ - how to think laterally about funding culture.
·         What constitutes good quality cultural provision that’s funded strategically and can help to bridge communities?
·         Examples from outside of London of good funding of culture.
·         More information on the London Borough of Culture initiative.
