Chaired by Sarah Ridley (Chief Executive, London Marathon Charitable Trust) and Stewart Goshawk (Chief Executive, Wembley National Stadium Trust), this Healthy London meeting focused on mental health (and specifically improving wellbeing through sports and recreational activities).
Attendees heard from Alex Levey (Short Breaks Co-ordinator, Charlton Athletic Community Trust) and Taslima Akther (Head of Health and Well-being at Leyton Orient Trust) on how their organisations use football to improve mental health and wellbeing. Guiliana Molinari (Deputy Director, Core Arts) also shared Core Art's experience of using arts and recreational activities to improve outcomes for service users.
In addition, a speaker from the Social Investment Business provided an update on its upcoming research with the Healthy London Partnership on a social investment fund for health in London.
