Social integration in London - a Funder Round-table

17 Oct 2017
2pm—3:30pm
Trust for London, 6 Middle Street, London, EC1A 7PH
London Funders and Migration Exchange funder network are pleased to host a funder-only roundtable on social integration, in partnership with the Greater London Authority.
The roundtable will be held at Trust for London on Tuesday October 17th from 2-3.30 pm.
The GLA is currently developing a strategy to promote social integration in London, focused on building strong communities where all Londoners can lead interconnected lives and play an active part in their city and the decisions that affect them. The strategy will focus on both how to overcome structural barriers and inequalities, whilst recognising the important role interaction and participation play in overcoming these.
The GLA is interested in collaborating with civil society partners on the strategy, and making sure the Mayor's programmes are building on other important work going on in this area. This roundtable is intended to open up an informal discussion on current policy thinking, get feedback, and identify any potential opportunities for future collaboration. Julia Slay, Assistant Director for Communities and Social Policy at the GLA, and Sarah Lyall - Social Integration Manager will open the discussion.
