This Children and Young People's meeting looked at issues surrounding Gypsy, Traveller and Roma children and highlighted best practice for funders.

Patrick Kinsella spoke to the Children and Young People Network about 'Overlooked and Overrepresented'- a report on Gypsy, Traveller and Roma children in the youth justice system published in December 2016.
The report analysed the Children in Custody 2015–16 data (HM Inspectorate of Prisons), and found that Gypsy, Traveller and Roma children report greater levels of need and worse experiences in custody than other children.
Gaba Smolinska-Poffley from the Roma Support Group shared her experiences of working in the sector. She is the Deputy Manager of the Roma Support Group and has been with the organisation for 15 years.
