London Funders Unlocking Assets Network Meeting held on the 28th January had three engaging presentations from assets-focused funders.
Heritage Lottery Fund- Unlocking Assets
This presentation, led by Anya Whitehead, Heritage Lottery Fund, discussed programmes which are particularly relevant for the Unlocking Assets Network Group such as start-up and transition grants, heritage grants, heritage enterprise and parks for people.
Big Lottery Fund- Reaching Communities
Kemar Walford from the Big Lottery Fund presented an overview of the buildings strand of the Reaching Communities funding for projects over £100,000. The strand can also provide revenue funding to get the building going and deliver project activities.The presentation will look at the programme to date and where Big Lottery wants to go next. A general programme summary will be followed by some key considerations, facts and figures for London.
London Marathon Charitable Trust- Capital Projects
Sarah Ridley from The London Marathon Charitable Trust highlighted The Trust’s £5million annual funding programme that supports capital projects which encourage Londoners to get off their sofas and get active.
