Supporting your grantees to  reach sustainability and achieve impact at scale

Wednesday January 27th – 3pm to 5pm

With grants currently in particularly high demand, it is important to preserve this money for when only a non-repayable investment can work. Foundations are therefore increasingly exploring how social investment may be used to support VCSEs in a different way. Social Finance will deliver a series of workshops through 2016 to explore the role that investment and/or new business models can play in enabling charities to achieve sustainability and scale their impact. Social Finance is a non-profit organisation that partners with government, the social sector and the financial community to find better responses to society’s most difficult problems.

The workshop discussed

·        What social investment is, when, how and why might it be appropriate for your grantees

·        What support is available to help organisations become investment ready

·        What is the process that grantees can expect to go through in becoming investment ready

·        Case studies of VCSEs that have been through the journey
