Research and Evaluation meeting - 3rd December 2015

We heard from New Philanthropy Capital on the topic of  Impact Measurement. There was also time for open discussion within the group:

Cecilie Hestbaek & Tris Lumley from NPC  re)introduced the group to Inspiring Impact – an initiative to improve measurement practice across the charity sector – which has recently been funded by Big Lottery to build on and further embed its current platform of principles and resources.

In this session, NPC set out the aims for the next three years and provide insight based on recent consultations. There was a chance to discuss how Inspiring Impact can improve its reach to small and local charities, help funders measure their impact, and be useful for them when supporting their grantees.

This timely presentation and discussion continues the theme from our previous meeting about how we can support grantees to better think about and measure their impact.
