A New Role at London Funders
London Funders have created a new senior role of Interim Projects Director, to support David Warner on the on-going delivery of a number of key strategic projects that London Funders is leading or a partner in. This part-time post is initially being filled by Geraldine Blake, until recently CEO of Community Links and a member of the Reference Group for The Way Ahead – Civil Society at the Heart of London. The exact scope of the permanent role is currently being developed and will be recruited to later in the year. Initially Geraldine will be working 1.5 days a week, with the focus of her role being on The Way Ahead and Vison for Young London, as well as other adhoc projects from time to time.
Commenting on the appointment David Warner said: “We are delighted that Geraldine is joining us in this new role, and at such an important time for the work of London Funders. Over the last three years we have significantly developed our role in enabling and supporting funders in London to work together, and with others, more strategically and collaboratively in response to the ever changing landscape in London. And that we have done this without any increase in our own capacity is a massive achievement for such a small team. However the pace of change and the challenges ahead mean that our Board recently agreed that a small increase in our capacity was essential in fulfilling our mission in supporting funders to meet the needs of Londoners.”
