Fundraising Approaches for Place-Based Giving Campaigns
Wednesday 23rd September 2015
Venue: Macquarie Group, Ropemaker Place, 28 Ropemaker Street, London, EC2Y 9HD
During this event on fundraising approaches we were joined by two expert speakers to talk about the fundraising and communications tools which can ignite local campaigns:
Peter Baeck, Principal Reseacher at NESTA and the co-author of two reports on crowdfunding and developer of online crowdfunding directory, Crowdingin.com, talked about when and how crowdfunding works best. Peter's presentation is available here.
Lynn Butteriss joined Islington Giving as Head of Development and Communications in the spring, and she told us how she is setting about applying her fundraising and communications experience to build on the success of the Islington campaign. Details of Lynn's presentation can be found here.
Toby Blume, Chair of Barnet Giving, community activist and free school pioneer chaired the event, which was generously hosted by Macquarie Group. There was plenty of networking and group discussion.
