Sacha Rose-Smith

Head of Funding, England Directorate Big Lottery Fund

Sacha joined the Big Lottery Fund (BIG) in 2009 and has occupied various roles. She is currently Senior Head of Regional Funding for London and South East England.  Her primary responsibilities include jointly leading a team to deliver end to end grant making across a large and complex geography. 

Sacha is also Chair of the Grant making committee for BBC Children in Need for London and the South East, and has been a member of this committee for the past four years. 

Prior to joining Big Lottery Fund Sacha worked in regional voluntary sector infrastructure providing support to organisations focusing on equalities and human rights, throughout the South East.  Sacha started her professional life in Social Services working in the areas of mental health and learning disability.  She latterly took up a Research Associate position at University of East Anglia exploring Social Work practice in safeguarding children suffering from, or at risk of significant harm.

Sacha has spent over 15 years involved in the voluntary and community sector, and the statutory sector.  She brings a strong working knowledge of grant making, understanding complex and diverse needs, as well as significant experience of working across London and the South East.
