BAME organisations and the recession 

South London sub-regional discussion 
10 August, venue tbc

London Funders and MiNet would like to invite funders to join a small group for some informed and frank discussion to look at specific and immediate issues around the recession for local authorities, other funders and the BAME third sector. We will explore some of the emerging problems as a result of changes in public spending and drill down to some of the specific areas where particular groups are at risk. We very much hope that funders interested in specific areas of London will be part of these discussions.

Follow up Recession Conference
Monday, 13 September, Mercers’ Hall

Save the date: we are planning a day event to follow up our conference on the recession last year. It will be at Mercers’ Hall on Monday, 13 September. London Funders will be inviting members to come together to review the state of London’s voluntary and community sector funding from the funders’ perspective, and share with key third sector organisations their analysis of the impact of the downturn and its aftermath on London’s communities.
